Yes, these cloths can be washed in either cold or warm water in a separate load. They can be washed and reused countless times. For extra care, use a gentle detergent free of bleach, dyes and fragarances. Do NOT use bleach or fabric softener as this will loosen the fibers. Air dry is preferred, or you can use no heat or low heat on your dryer setting. Do NOT use fabric dryer sheets if using a dryer.

Of course! The WindshieldWOW! works great on all auto glass! And it is also safe on the rear windows with defroster wires embedded into or on them.

Follow these important rules every time and you will get streakfree results on your windshield with WindshieldWow!

Basic Rules to Follow Whenever Cleaning Your Windshield:

Rule 1: Never, ever clean your windshield in the direct hot sun!  Why?  Because the hot sun causes rapid evaporation of the cleaning solution before cleaning is complete, leaving behind dirt and grime. It is best to clean your windshield in the shade (in a garage, carport , etc..). If you do not have a shady spot, consider waiting until the evening when the sun is much lower and it isn't hot out.

Rule 2: Use a good quality streak free glass cleaner. The testers at WindshieldWOW! have tested many of these retail glass cleaners and we recommend SprayWay Brand (Foaming action) Streak Free Glass cleaner. While others may work for you, we have found that SprayWay Brand, Foaming Glass cleaner to yield the best results over any other glass cleaning solution. 

Rule 3: Note the black tinted border around your windshield on the exterior.  This tinted border area signifies where the hard objects such as your windshield mounting pillars, dash and mirror mount are located on the inside.  So this means your WindshieldWOW! internal paddle can not be pushed into this area.  So when using the WindshieldWOW! you can not push the external paddle into this black tinted border area as the internal connected paddle with hit those hard objects and fall off.

Step 1: THOROUGH WET CLEANING. 

Apply blue micro fiber cloths to both WindshieldWOW! cleaning paddles and spray liberally with your chosen streak free glass cleaner (We recommend SprayWay Foaming Action Glass Cleaner)  Also spray some on your windshield inside/out.

Apply the paddles to your windshield and perform a THOROUGH wet cleaning of your entire windshield with your WindshieldWOW!, making sure to not miss any area.  Make several complete passes across your windshield.

Inspect your blue micro fiber cloths as you wet clean, and replace with new clean cloths and repeat the wet cleaning (with additional glass cleaner as needed) until the blue microfiber cleaning cloths no longer pickup any dirt or grime from your windshield. (Note: any dirt visible on the blue cloths means you need to continue wet cleaning)

Step 2: PREPARE FINISH BUFFING.

Once your windshield is thoroughly cleaned (as evidenced by no more dirt appearing on the blue microfiber cloths), you must perform a finish buffing step to remove any trace smears or smudges from your windshield. 

There are two methods you can use: 

1. Use the Wow Finish Buffing Cloth Method. Attach a WOW! Finish Buffing Cloth to each paddle directly to the white velcro of the paddles. 

or

2. Use a 1/4 Sheet of Paper Towel (Brawny Tear-A-Square Brand is recommended). Adhere the 1/4 Sheet of Brawny Tear-A-Square brand to each paddle that already has installed a clean dry blue micro-fiber cloth.  A 1/4 square of Brawny Brand paper towel adheres nicely to the blue micro-fiber cloth.

NOTE: The Paper Towel method may prove most effective for first time users!

Step 3: PERFORM FINISH BUFFING.

No matter which method above you choose, after you prepare your paddles (either paper towels installed or the WOW! Finish Buffing Cloths installed), reinstall the WindshieldWOW! onto your windshield and then begin finish buffing the entire windshield with your windshield DRY.  You do not need any wetness for finish buffing.  Make multiple passes of finish buffing until the windshield has been completely finish buffed in all areas.  

Finally, inspect the windshield in bright light or sunlight and reperform the finish buffing if smears are still present perform additional DRY buffing. 

Lastly, if smudges still appear after dry buffing, you did not perform adequate wet cleaning and there are likely road oils still on the windshield.  Perform an initial degreasing wet cleaning with a mixture of a few drops of dawn and in spray bottle with water.  The repeat the normal wet cleaning with regular glass cleaning and then finish with a dry buffing as before.

No. The WindshieldWOW!™ has been specifically designed for auto windshield glass. Home windows generally have multiple panes and therefore are much thicker than windshield glass. As such, the magnetic pull strength is not sufficient to clean these windows. The strength of the magnets has been calibrated for windshield use. However, we now have a Home Window Kit that comes with booster magnets and magnetic concentrator discs to increase the magnetic pull of the WindshieldWow! to work on home windows up to 3/4" thick.
